This week the Juno, a shipping vessel, ran aground underneath the Thousand Islands Bridge in Alexandria Bay, New York. The freighter was stuck in the shipping channel from Monday morning through Wednesday and was dislodged with a little help from Canadian and U.S. local authorities. On Tuesday we took a trip to see the grounded ship. When we arrived there were 2 ocean tugs strapped to one side, pushing the freighter toward Wellesley Island. This unfortunate accident made for an amazing photo opportunity for us.
